My goodness, it has been a while since I updated this blog. I guess it's high time I did it. Life has been good for the most part, so I can't complain. I have recently switched to a four-day work week at 10 hours a day. Since the company I work for is international, we've decided that it would be better for all our locations across the world to have the Legal Department overlap a little more during the workday. A couple hours in the morning catches the UK and a couple hours in the evening snags the morning in Australia. It's really fun being able to call people in other countries. I get caught up in the accents, though. It's fascinating to me.
I've learned a few things reading documents from Australia and listening to people from Europe and Australia talk. For example, when one here in the US says, "I'm right after him" or something similar, there is a phrase I saw used in Australia meaning essentially the same thing. It is, "I'm first cab off the rank after him." It's maybe a little silly, but I love it. "No! Wait!! I called first cab off the rank after them." It's a lot more descriptive and fun to use.
Speaking of keeping busy - Well, I wasn't really speaking of that, but now I am, so we'll go with it. - We've also been doing our run of the Promised Land. Unfortunately, we haven't had the ticket sales we had hoped for, so several of our shows have been canceled over the last two weeks. I'd like more people to buy tickets and come, but you can't force anyone, and the Covey Center is new enough that people still don't realize it's around. We've been up against some tough circumstances, but I still love doing the show. We're all such good friends in the cast, it's going to be an adjustment to not see everyone as much when it's over.
I'm moving in with Nicole and Rosie, though, so we'll still play with some people. They both have significant others that are also in the show, so the group will get together still, I think. Speaking of moving, I have to pack up in the next couple of days and start moving over into my new place. It's way nice. It's farther away from work, but I think I'll like it just fine. I don't know how long I'll be there, but it's a convenient month-to-month deal and I get two great room mates and two rooms and a bathroom to myself - after August, anyway. I'll be able to have a hobby room aside from my bedroom. I think I'll make my bedroom the smaller one (when Amanda is gone) and make the bigger one my hobby room. I'll have to start out in the Hobby room, so that might change, but I'm so excited!!!

High fives for having a place to live! What a relief. What are your big plans for the hobby room? I hope it involves choreography and music videos. :)
I hadn't planned on that, but now that you mention it. . . . How can I refrain?! It is a Hobby room afterall, and what's more hobby-ish than choreography and music videos?! Oh, the possibilities, Jack! How are you guys doing afterall? Are you finally moved or are you still traveling?
