A Bit of Randomness, Really

So, I've been having a fabulous week. I told one of my good friends that the summer has just begun, and yet I feel like I'm doing so much more already than I have felt about most of my other summers (as an adult) combined. It's sad, but true. I think it's mostly because I am involved in so many things I've wanted to do but haven't.

It's amazing to me how fulfilling participation in a musical production is to me. I haven't danced real choreography since I was 12-years-old or so, and I get such a feeling when I dance.... It makes me wonder if I should enroll in classes again. That might be a little much, but we'll see after the show runs in August.

I've also gotten a killer deal on a season pass to a local water park, so my friends and I can go as often as we want. I'm sure it's totally a mind trick I'm playing on myself, but I've gone once for a few hours one evening and I already feel more tan! I've still got glowing white skin, but time in the sun really does something for the energy of the body.... and then you come home and crash on your bed for a nap because water activities take it out of you! I guess the water park is a two-edged sword that way.

Today was a perfect day as far as temperature goes. It was nice and warm and sunshiny! After rehearsal (and a nap) my friend and I walked to the dollar store to exchange some things and some other stores to look for more swimwear. We crossed the bridge over the river, and there was a delicious breeze coming off the water and we both sighed with contentment at the exact same time. It was a very nice day. In fact, my friend and I have been friends for just long enough now that we are starting to rub off on one another.

I say something and she starts to break into song, now. We frequently say the same thing at the same time - which can be just a little weird, if you ask me. She'll start saying something and stop cold, but I know exactly what she's trying to refrain from saying, and we will break into laughter about it. I don't know what it is, but we joke that we are the product of one brain being shared between two people.

Anyway, the summer is young and we've already started it with a bang! I'm excited to see what the rest of the summer holds.
